If you tell Jacob something enough times it eventually sinks in and he’ll do what ever it takes to succeed. “you need to eat lots of vegetables to be big and strong” said dad. Jacob then proceeded to make his very own vegetable sandwich and was very proud of his results.

A day trip over to Island Bay to meet with friends in the park resulted in this fantastic shot of the brothers in arms.

Isaac strolled about confidently getting in amongst all the other little ones. He didn’t seem to worry about whether mum was there or not unless he was given an unsuspecting, over zealous nudge by one of his new companions.

At morning tea time there was a whole pile of toast handed around by the older kids and lots of songs lead by the teachers. Isaac how ever was more interested in tasting the paint from the purple paint pot.

As all was going swimmingly mum decided he could try his first sleep at day care. After about 15 minutes the teacher had settled Isaac and he was away into dream land – mum made a dash for the outside world, made a trip to four square, collected Jacob from his mate and was back even before Isaac stirred.

Back again tomorrow when mum will leave him to his own devices.

Isaac’s first birthday was spent at Stansborough Farm, our favourite Alpaca hide away.

One of which was my very own super hero cape.

Auntie Gill gave me a new bed last week.  I haven’t been sure about using it, preferring to stay in and climb out of my cosy cot but now I can see the benefits as it’s much easier to jump out and climb in with Mum and Dad at 3am.

I like to ride my mean machine and go crashing through the waves.

You can’t beat relaxing with a nice cold one after a day at the beach.

We had lot’s of talks round the campfire and shared a joke or two.

I even managed to catch the occasional donkey ride home…

I seem to be growing all the time too and Mum says i’m getting more and more like my Dad every day

At the end of an exhausting day, I like to snuggle down with a good book.

Well I had alot of fun dragging my dingy from the campsite onto Ohope Beach and sailing it near the shore.  I’m smart enough not to get in it – that would be crazy! Although mum and dad were a little perturbed when I just decided to set off on my own and I was half way t the beach before they ught up with me.

We holidayed in Stafford and Stoke for two weeks and are now in a very chilly Philadelphia for another 5 days while Dad attends the Luminus Summit.

We went to a Medieval Fair at Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt.  Ade, Sue and my mates Jack and Tom joined us for some jousting and sword fighting.  It was a day more memorable for my personal rendition of the Queen classic “We Will Rock You!” qith the boys complete with the intro drum and clapping noises and one I like to belt out now and again.
